One Week in Cloth - Thoughts
I do have a few downsides so far, but nothing that would make me stop!
First, I REALLY wish I got snaps instead of aplix (but, once again, they were use diapers so I couldn't really be picky). The aplix likes to catch on my shirt if Kay doesn't have pants on and come undone. Plus, Kay sometimes manages to grab a hold of the tabs and open one side of her diaper. It's not intentional yet but I can see if being a problem as she gets older.
Second, I wish I had more that just 15. I normally keep three in the diaper bag due to the fact that I sometimes forget to put new diapers in after I used them so I don't want to get caught out of the house without diapers. That brings me down to 12 in the house. It is two days worth, which isn't bad but its annoying to be washing every other day. I also tend to forget to stuff the diapers the same day I wash them so my schedules is normally wash one day, stuff the next, wash the next day, stuff, etc. It feels like I am always doing something with them! But I wouldn't stop just because it's annoying!!
I'm planning on buying some more as soon as I get more funds together, plus my mom said she is going to buy some for Kayleigh's Christmas since she won't be old enough to really know what is going on (And I told her I don't want fifty million toys!)
She still gets put in disposables when my mom babysits on Mondays and we do still have a few on hand for emergencies so we aren't 100% cloth yet but hopefully by the end of the year we are! I send waaaaay to much time drooling over and deciding which style/brand/print I am going to get next!

Nursery Sign
4 months after she was born I finally finished it!
It's taken from Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." It's actually pretty popular verse for a child's room but I love it so much.
Now to just finish the curtains and crib skirt and the nursery is complete (which hopefully will get done sometime before her first birthday haha!) Then I can actually to a nursery tour!
(and it anyone is wondering, I have heavy duty hangers on the back plus her crib is scooted away from the wall - mainly because she always somehow manages to her to arm stuck between the crib and wall but also in case the sign falls)

Eckert's trip
My cloth diapers arrived!! (There is one more of the ribbit color - Kay was wearing it at the time)
I ended up buying 15 used BumGenius 3.0s from the Diaper Swapper forums. for $80. It was a great deal and I didn't want to pass it up! They are aplix, which I wanted snaps but beggars can't be choosers! The condition was very good - really just the aplix will need to be replace probably within the year. They still hold together very well, though!
I put the little miss in them today and she can't possibly get any cuter!!
Speaking of today, she had her 4-month check up and is weighing in at 12 lbs 7 oz. and 23 & 1/2 inches long! She did get some vaccinations so she isn't the happiest camper at the moment,
Anyway, Onto Eckert's!! There are multiple locations (four, I think?) but we went to the one in Grafton, IL.
Kay was kinda 'meh' about the apple picking part. She did like the leaves and kept trying to eat them, though!
Hopefully this will be a yearly tradition so we will see how she grows!
The goats and yak at the petting zoo were a huge hit! Kay loves watching and 'petting' animals. She got such a kick out of the goat who kept licking her hand.
Not even 10 minutes into the car drive home she conked right out!
